TANZANIA
The United Republic of Tanzania is a country of over 38,000,000 people from 120 ethnic groups which comprise mainland Tanzania and the island of Zanzibar in an area twice the size of California. It is bordered by Kenya and Uganda on the north, Rwanda, Burundi and D R Congo on the west, and Zambia Malawi and Mozambique on the south. Its eastern boundary is the Indian Ocean. It contains Africa’s highest mountain – Mt Kilimanjaro, deepest lake - Lake Tanganyika and largest lake – Lake Victoria.
